Bring AGsploration to Your County/City Unit

Through the AGsploration: The Science of Maryland Agriculture Program there will be a group of teen teachers trained at the upcoming Winter Institute in February. These teens will then be able to teach the curriculum throughout the State of Maryland. If you have an event scheduled from March 2012 through December 2012 that you would like to have an AGsploration lesson or lessons taught at we would like to know. Possible events could include: county fairs, summer camps and programs, or after school programs. Please keep in mind that these teen teachers are also students, therefore, will not be available during school hours. If you currently do not have something scheduled and would like to work on organizing an event, please contact us and we will be glad to work with you.

In addition, we are also interested in pilot testing curriculum in public and private schools in 2012. If you currently have a middle school partner that might be interested in the curriculum we would be interested in finding out.

Please email Megan Jordan with teaching dates and/or middle school partner information. She can be contacted at mjordan6@umd.edu or 301-314-7821. We ask that you email her no later than February 1st.
