Maryland Day April 28, 2012 - Not too late to join the fun!

The planning for Maryland Day is well underway. Attendance for the day is anticipated at over 70,000 visitors to campus and this is a great chance to showcase the Maryland 4-H Youth Development program and our proud connection with both the University of Maryland Extension and College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. This years theme is the Land Grant University, Then & Now.

This message serves two purposes: To ask you to save the date --- Saturday, April 28, 2012 and to encourage you to consider joining us that day with an exhibit that engages, entertains, and educates the visitors.

Many thanks to the club, county and city 4-H units who have already signed up to provide hands-on exhibits for youth participants and their families.

Do you have an exhibit you would like to set-up? It is not too late to join the fun!

Maryland 4-H Foundation Happy New Year Card Fundraiser

We mailed out 4,500 greeting cards at the beginning of the year. The national average response rate for direct mail is about 2% - 5% for non-profits. Our goal was for a 5% response rate and for an average donation of $20. The response has been overwhelming donors have given just over $2,000, half way to our goal of $4,500! The donations are still rolling in, so stay tuned for our next update!
