The skill building in this program focuses on the decision making process as it relates to consumer purchasing power! Through a process of evaluating choices in the marketplace youth are given opportunities to make educated decisions before making purchases. Regardless of the item - there are factors that lead to wise consumer choices. Each year Purchase Power will focus on selected items/classes so that interested youth with these tools can make informed decisions. Program materials (selected items/classes) are available each year to each County/City unit. Units will determine county/city participation and a State Purchase Power Contest will be held at the Maryland State Fair.
