4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills.

4-H Program Areas

Maryland 4-H has five major Program Committees which serve to identify goals and actions to achieve the Maryland 4-H Program mission, vision, and core program components.

The committees are co-chaired by a 4-H specialist and a member of the committee, elected by the committee members.

Program sub-committees, working groups and event planning groups provide opportunity for the involvement and input of interested faculty, staff, volunteers, and teens in specific project and program areas (e.g. Horse Advisory, Afterschool Task Force, Camping Task Force, and Fashion Review Committee, etc.).
